- ╚═╤══╤═╝ Shareware Ver. 1.03
- █▀▀▀▀▀▀█
- Peachville Software 1993
- ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
-
- █ EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS █
- DOS: 3.3 minimum
- Video: EGA
- HDrive: C Drive
- Mouse: Logitech or equal
-
- █ GENERAL █
- Custom Autoexec allows the user to create the operating enviroment during
- the autoexec batch process. Instructions to run utilities such as Norton,
- QDos, Windows, etc. and their required parameters are added to the batch
- while it is in progress. Each command set is located in files BAT.001 to
- BAT.012, allowing 12 user sets.
-
- █ INSTALLATION █
- ***** Your mouse driver must be active for these programs to run. *****
- Copy all the files to a formatted disk. Run BUTTONS.EXE from the disk to see
- how the pre-packaged system operates. [Clear] clears the text screen. [Run]
- copies the batch commands on the screen to AUTO.BAT and ends the program.
-
- Decide how you want your commands to run. For instance when running your
- modem you may want a background ultility running ahead of time.
-
- Make a backup of your existing AUTOEXEC.BAT and print it as well.
-
- Edit the pre-packaged AUTOEXEC.BAT: Change the line MOUSE if your original
- driver command is different Eg: GOMOUSE. Add path, set and command lines
- that you want to run every time.
-
- █ BAT.001 - BAT.012 █
- The first line of each file, (12 charachters max.), is the title which
- appears on your buttons. Replace existing titles with those suited to the
- function you wish to perform. This is the only line which will not be
- issued as a batch command line.
-
- Edit subsequent lines as you would with any batch file with the following
- exceptions:
- [ENTER] must follow the last command.
- The charachter "$" will truncate the file and should not be used.
-
- Notice how PATH statements are added: Eg. PATH = C:\DOS;%path%
- This results in an "Out of Environment Space" error message when executed
- but it allows paths to be added rather than truncated.
-
- Some of the samples Eg. BAT.012 are empty. When the program encounters an
- empty file it ignores it and does not create a command button. To remove a
- button simply delete the contents of the file.
-
- Then test the operation of each file by running BUTTONS.EXE, try all of
- your commands. After pressing the "Run" button, view AUTO.BAT. This file
- should now contain the cumulative batch commands you just entered.
-
- When your commands are correct, copy all files to C:\ , then reboot.
-
